Orexigen Therapeutics to Present Data Supporting Novel, PreClinical Drug Combination for Schizophrenia

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov 1, 2007 - Orexigen(TM) Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq:OREX), a biopharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of central nervous system disorders including obesity, today announced that the Company will be presenting at the Society for Neuroscience Annual meeting, Neuroscience 2007, in San Diego, CA, November 3-7, 2007.

Orexigen's Vice President of Neuroscience, Frank Bymaster, will present pre-clinical data on the effect of the combination of zonisamide and ziprasidone on extracellular concentrations of monoamines in the prefrontal cortex and hypothalamus in rats.
